Agnes G. Welch

Turbeville Mrs. Agnes Gollie Welch, age 90, passed away Monday, June 13, 2016 at Palmetto Health Tuomey after an illness. A funeral service will be held at 3 PM Friday, June 17, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Turbeville with burial in the church cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Thursday, June 16, 2016 at the funeral home. Mrs. Agnes was born in Clarendon County, and was a daughter of the late Willie P. Watford and Clara Irene Sims Watford. She was a retired Seamstress, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Turbeville. She is preceded in death by her husband, Sam J. Welch; a son, Ricky Welch; a sister, Mildred Cole; a brother, Rubin Watford. Surviving are three daughters, Judy McClam of Sumter, Frankie Welch (John Struhar) of Florence, and Brenda McLaughlin (Chris) of Turbeville. A son, Steve Welch (Christine) of Turbeville. Twelve grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and twenty two great great grandchildren. The family would like to express their gratitude to staff at National Health Care of Sumter.
