Alec William Clelland, Jr. Alec William Clelland, Jr. age 92, died July 30, 2016 at his home after an illness. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Snyder Memorial Baptist Church, the family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM at the church, burial will be in Lafayette Memorial Park directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta, South Carolina. He was born in Green City, Missouri, a son of the late Alexander William Clelland and Bernice Miller Clelland. A member of Snyder Memorial Baptist Church, he was a graduate of The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill Pharmacy School, a pharmacist for 60+ years, founder/owner Bordeaux Drug, and a 'honorary member' of Village Christian Football team. 'Pop' shared #1 pit crew honors with his granddaughter Kellie at Alec III's karting events. He treasured his family, cared for his wife Ozeda as she suffered with Alzheimer Disease, enjoyed being a 'druggist' and always tried to 'help folks feel better', he loved cheering for his grandsons who played Village Christian Academy Football and Baseball. 'Pop' rarely missed a game, and frequently shared his 'advice' with the coaches, and always looked forward to post-game hugs. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ozeda Floyd Clelland ( his angel from Olanta, SC, they were married for 60 years, she was also a pharmacist, and founded Bordeaux Drug with him), a son, Alec William Clelland, III, also a pharmacist, a sister, Margaret Liner and a brother, Donald Clelland. Surviving are two daughters, Susan Hinkamp (Wally) of Fayetteville, Jane Russell (John), of Hope Mills, a sister, Becie Woodlief of Wake Forest, NC, grandchildren, Kellie Clelland, Zachary Russell, Caleb Russell, and Dawson Hinkamp, two great-grandchildren, Tamer and Holden, a cat, Franklin (who never ventured far from his side), his special caretakers: Thelma Hailey and Esther Long ( who cared for him like a father, shared his memorable stories, and held his hand in prayer).
