Coker age 57, died Thursday, September 22, 2011 at McLeod Hospice House in Florence after an illness. A graveside service will be held at 4 pm Sunday, September 25, 2011 at Gibbons Family Cemetery near New Zion. Visitation will be held from 2:00-3:30 at the funeral home with Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta in charge of the arrangements. Born in Clarendon County he was the son of the late Walker Rudolph Coker and Arley Nettles Coker, he was a carpenter and a mechanic. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Marie Coker and a brother, Allen Thomas Coker. Surviving are three sisters, Betty J. Geddings of Turbeville, Elinor Boardwine of Effingham, and Tammy Lynn Coker of New Zion, Three brothers, Marion Ronald Coker of New Zion, Raymond Walker Coker of Turbeville, and Alton Coker of Sumter.
