Mamie Annelyn Thigpen VanRoten Columbia Mamie Annelyn Thigpen VanRoten, age 89, passed away, September 7, 2011 at a nursing home in Columbia after an illness. A service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Floyd Funeral Home, conducted by Ernie Dee Thigpen and Charles Allen Thigpen. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at 10:00am, burial at Thomas Cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. She was preceded in death by her parents, the late J. Allen and Mabel Thigpen. One sister, the late Vida Mabel Melton. Two brothers, the late Ernest Thigpen, the late Ingram Thigpen. She is survived by one daughter, Margaret Raines of Timmonsville, S. C., and a son, Charles Decker of Idaho Falls, ID.. Two brothers, Charles Allen Thigpen, of Georgia and Ed Green Thigpen of Turbeville. One aunt, Vernie Lyerly and a large number of nieces and nephews. She was a member of Good News Holiness Church in South Congaree.
