LYNCHBURG – Annette Coleman Coker, 84, widow of James Harley Coker, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at her residence. Born June 9, 1937, in Lynchburg, SC, she was a daughter of the late Jiles Darby “Tiney” Coleman and the late Ida Mae Logan Coleman. She attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and was retired from the sewing industry. She is survived by a special nephew, John N. Coleman (Rhoda) of Summerton; a brother-in-law, J.A. Coker (Bertha) of Turbeville; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Harley Coker; a son, James Jerry “Jim” Coker; two brothers, Elbert Coleman and John Rowland Coleman; and two sisters, Kathleen Wilson and Ethel “Punk” Coleman. Funeral services will be held 3pm on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. James Melton officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 – 3 P.M. on Saturday at the church and at other times at the home, 1160 Pleasant Grove Road, Lynchburg. Pallbearers, Devon Coker, Roger Coker, J.D.
