Annette C. Godwin

Annette C. Godwin Mt. Pleasant Mrs. Annette C. Godwin, age 86, died Friday, July 20, 2012 at the Medical University of South Carolina. Funeral services will be 3pm Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Floyd Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Olanta Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Visitation will be from 1:30 - 3:00 at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Born in Olanta, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late James C. Caulder and the late Gracie Jordan Caulder. She was a graduate of Olanta High School Class of 1943, attended Winthrop College, a past Girl Scout Leader and was formerly an active member of Bethel Methodist Church in Columbia. She was a devoted wife and beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Susie G. Hammond, and a sister, Jimlyn "Jeekie" Floyd. Surviving are her husband, Charles V. Godwin of the home. Two daughters, Jean (Henry) Chandler of Mt. Pleasant and Joan (Randy) Barnard of Houston, Texas. One son, Dan (Kathy) Godwin of Springfield, Virginia. Seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren. Two brother-in-laws, Howard (Janet) Godwin of Simpsonville and J. Kelton Floyd of Olanta.
