Annie Ruth Bullard Pierce

Annie Ruth Bullard Pierce, age 89, died Sunday, April 14, 2019, at her home after an illness. Funeral services will be held at 4 PM Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at Bethany Free Will Baptist Church, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Visitation will be held one hour to the service at the church. Mrs. Ruth was born in Marlboro County. She was the daughter of the late Clarence Downing Bullard and Dora Isla Bullard. She was a telephone operator and instructor with AT&T for 30 years. She was a member of Bethany Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend James Allard Pierce; a son Jimmy K. Pierce; two brothers, Raleigh Bullard and Lacy Bullard; four sisters Virginia Therrell, Ellen White, Mildred Paakanen, and Diane Robinette. She is survived by one daughter, Vickie Carol Pierce (Larry) Davis of Timmonsville; one son, Jerry W. (Judy) Pierce of Timmonsville; one brother, James Billy Bullard of Marion; one sister, Dot Wise of Darlington; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.
