Barbara "Bobbie" Robinson Gibbons

Turbeville - Barbara "Bobbie" Robinson Gibbons age 82, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, November 23, 2014 after an extended illness. A funeral service will be held 11am Wednesday November 26, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Turbeville, with private burial, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Visitation will follow the funeral service in the church fellowship hall. Born in Clarendon County she was a daughter of the late Ashby Bell Robinson and Martha Jane DuBose Robinson. Mrs. Gibbons was a member of Turbeville First Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher and was a member of the Dicey Gibbons Ladies Circle. She is preceded in death by her husband, D.W. "Buddy" Gibbons, Jr. Surviving are three daughters, Sonya G. Gibbons of Murrells Inlet, Celeste G. Rose (Jim) of Augusta, and Janet G. Gambino (Carlo) of Surfside. Two sons, Dudley Whitehead Gibbons, III and Mitchell R. Gibbons (Cindy) both of Turbeville. One sister, Joette R. Haven of Summerville. Five grandchildren, Caroline R. Smith (Kyle), Elliott J. Rose (Tiffany), E. Dawn Thompson, Ashby M. Gibbons, and Wesley S. Gibbons. Three great grandchildren, Aubrey, Cooper, and Cole.
