Turbeville Mrs. Beulah Marie Mims age 96, died March 18, 2013 in a Florence hospital after an illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 O'clock PM Thursday March 21 at Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery directed by Floyd Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 - 7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Born in Florence County, she was a daughter of the late John Jarrett Baggett and Allie Beck Locklair Baggett. She was a homemaker, a member of Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church, The Dorcas Circle of the church, She was a member of The Ellison Capers Chapter 70 of the United Daughters of the Confederacy in Florence and was the last surviving Real Daughter of the Confederacy in South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Jackson Mims; a son, Larry S. Mims; a daughter-in-law, Marion Ann Gamble Mims; a great-grandson, Joshua Gamble Mims; a sister and brother-in-law, Lee Corbett (James) ; two brothers and sisters in law, Luther Baggott (Norma) and Calvin Baggett (Ruby), and brothers, Harry Harrell and Henry Harrell; a son-in-law, Billy J. Matthews. She is survived by a daughter, Freddia Marie Mims Matthews of Turbeville; a son, Jack Murvis Mims (Cheryl Miller) of Turbeville; eight grandchildren, twenty two great-grandchildren.
