Brenda Driggers Barrineau Olanta Brenda Driggers Barrineau, age 59, died July 2, 2010 in a Lake City hospital after an illness. Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock PM, Sunday, July 4, 2010 at Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial in Thomas Cemetery directed by FLOYD FUNERAL HOME. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM tonight (Saturday) at the funeral home. Born in Williamsburg County, she was a daughter of the late Thaddaus Thomas Driggers and Ottis Jane Scurry Driggers. She was a retired Postmaster with the U. S. Postal Service, having retired from Olanta Post Office and worked and served at many other Post Offices. She was an officer of NAPUS, was former Editor of the Palmetto Postmaster Magazine and was a member of Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church. She is survived by her husband, William 'Winky' Barrineau of Olanta. Her children; Camela 'C J.' (Shay) Frye of Olanta, Damia (Dusty) Harcrow, Billy(Cherri) Barrineau of Florence and Brooks (Tara) Barrineau of Olanta. Two sisters; Ollie (John) Jashinsky and Pat (John) Wegrzynowski both of Columbia. One brother; Tommy (Sandra) Driggers of Florence. Nine grandchildren; Jessica Welch, Austin Welch, Cole Barrineau, Brittany Hamilton, Jackson Barrineau, Hayden Frye, Carson Frye, Holden Frye, and Cayli Harcrow and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Pavy and his staff, the staff of Ascension Hospice, and the staff of Lake City Community Hospital for their kindness, compassion and care during Brenda's illness.
