Cameron Lee Baxley

TURBEVILLE – Cameron Lee Baxley, 18, died on Friday, September 3, 2021. Born March 18, 2003, in Florence, SC. He was a son of James Allen Baxley and Amy Hatcher. He was a member of Peace Free Will Baptist Church and was employed in the sod industry. He is survived by his parents; his maternal grandmother, Sylvia Hatcher; his paternal grandmother, Frankie Baxley; two brothers, Christopher Wayne Baxley(Kristina Hughes) of Lugoff and Zachery Strickland (Rebecca Rhodes) of Olanta; two nieces, Willow Strickland and Wynter Strickland; one nephew, Wyatt Strickland; one aunt, Gail Sweatt of McColl; three uncles, Ronnie Hatcher (Daphne) and Ricky Lee Hatcher (Amanda), and Brad Sweatt all of McColl; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ricky L. Hatcher; his paternal grandfather, Garland A. Baxley; an uncle, Wayne A. Baxley; and a cousin Samiya Hatcher. A graveside funeral service will be held 11am on Friday, September 10, 2021, at Pine Grove United Methodist Cemetery, Turbeville with Rev. Donnie Miles, Rev. Joel Stone and Rev. Nick Lylerly officiating. The family will receive guest following the service and at other times at the home of Frankie Baxley, 1073 Yates Street, Turbeville. The family request that memorial be made to either A Second Chance Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 607, Manning, SC 29102 or The Turbeville Children’s Home, 5232 Turbeville Highway, Turbeville, SC 29162.
