Lake City - Carlton Franklin Floyd age 76, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at McLeod Hospice House after an illness. Funeral services will be held 3p.m. Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Floyd Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. The family will receive friends from 6-8p.m. at the funeral home Saturday, May 16, 2015. Born in Clarendon County he was a son of the late Henry Fulton Floyd and Bonnie Viola McKenzie Floyd. He was a retired Farmer and United States Army Veteran. Preceded in death are his first wife, Mary Elizabeth Floyd. Two step-sons, Ricky Owens and Rayford Floyd. A grandson, JD Brown. Two sisters, Jensey Ruth Floyd and Winnie Lou Reed. A brother, J.R. Floyd. Surviving are his wife, Faye Lee Floyd of the home. A son, Carlton F. "Peanut" Floyd, Jr. (Sharon) of Olanta. Two step-daughters, Cynthia Ann Morgan (Danny) of Myrtle Beach, and Brenda Lee Powers of Lake City. Four step-sons, Randall K. Owens of Huntsville, Alabama; Ricky Floyd and Roger Allen Floyd both of Timmonsville, Robert W. Floyd (Jamie) of Bicknell, Indiana; and Calip Allen Floyd of Johnsonville. Two brothers, Norwood Floyd (Shirley) and Ronald Floyd both of Lake City. Thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren.
