Carole Welsh Barrineau

Lake City - Mrs. Carole Welsh Barrineau age 79, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016 at her home after an illness. Funeral services will be 3pm Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial in the church cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. The family will greet friends tonight (Tuesday) from 6-8pm at the church, and other times at her home of 1611 Lucky Road, Lake City. Born in Lee County, she was a daughter of the late Lorenzo Dow Welsh and Dorothy Scott Josey Welsh. She attended Nursing School at McLeod Infirmary, was employed with Barrineau Insurance Agency and East Clarendon Insurance for over 40 years, and was a member of Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rudolph Barrineau, two brothers, Luther F. Welsh and Thomas S. Welsh, and a sister-in-law, Ann Welsh. Surviving are two daughters, Beth Godwin (Ricky) of Lake City, and Susan Lecklitner (John) of Turbeville. A brother, Josey D. Welsh (Pat) of North Augusta, S.C. A sister-in-law, Judy Welsh of Harbor Island. Four grandchildren, Kelli Roberson Smith (Mark), Lindsey Roberson, Josey Lecklitner, and Jordan Lecklitner. Two great grandchildren, Ellie Smith and Jase Keith, along with many nieces and nephews, a special "sister", Dale McKenzie of Lake City, and her special and caring family at Central Mini Stop.
