NORTH CHARLESTON - With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Carolyn Brenda Evans, a beloved sister, aunt, and compassionate caregiver. Carolyn was born on a warm Saturday, July 1st, 1950, in Lake City, South Carolina a daughter of the late Richard Monroe Feagin and the late Sarah Louis Coker Feagin. She peacefully departed this life on Friday, December 13th, 2024, at Lowcountry Community Hospice House in Summerville, SC surrounded by her loving family. Carolyn's life was a tapestry woven with kindness and care. A devoted caregiver by profession, her warmth and compassion touched the lives of many. She selflessly dedicated her life to nurturing and supporting others, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege to know her. Her gentle spirit and unwavering commitment to helping those in need will forever be remembered. She is lovingly survived by her three cherished sisters: Diane (Gilbert) Bancroft of Eutawville, Becky (Michael) Ruggs of Texas, and Shelia (John) Hiott of Santee. Carolyn also leaves behind a legacy in her family, including adored ten nieces and nephews, Vicki Stone, Sarah Varnadore, Kayla Downs, Mary Batchelor, Lisa Griffith, Ricky Brazeal, Ashley Brazeal, Matthew Matney, Daniel Matney, Christopher Lupyak and Travis Hiott; sixteen great nieces and nephews; and four great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, William Evans. A graveside funeral service will be held 1:15pm on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at the Old Piney Grove Cemetery (1093 Piney Grove Road, Lake City, SC 29560). A visitation will be held from 12 noon - 1pm on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Floyd Funeral Home, Olanta, SC. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Floyd Funeral Home, Inc., 136 E. Main Street, Olanta, SC where friends and family will gather to celebrate Carolyn’s life, honor her memory, and find solace in the joyful moments they shared with her.
