Olanta - Catherine Jordan Floyd, 81, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was the wife of the late Raymond Marion Floyd, and was born in Lee County, a daughter of the late Walter Adelbert and Eula Mary Anderson Jordan. Before her health declined, she enjoyed participating in church activities where she was a member at Terrell's Church of God in Lake City, senior citizens club, and being a caregiver to numerous children in the area. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Elaine Floyd, a son, Gerald Raymond Floyd, a great granddaughter, Paisley Pink Floyd, three brothers, Bill, Gerald, and Al Jordan. Surviving are her son, Walter Tony Floyd (Sandra) of Olanta, a daughter-in-law, Sharon Huggins Floyd of Florence, five grandchildren, Jason B. Floyd (Brandy) of Timmonsville, Jessica Plummer of Hawaii, Kasi Floyd Nobles (Wesley) of Florence, Brett Floyd (fianc, Ashley Cantey) of Olanta, and Lauren Elizabeth Floyd of Olanta, four great granddaughters, Hailey, Rylie, Madelyn, and Zoey Floyd, two sisters, Virgina Lee of Timmonsville, and Edith Miles of Coward, a number of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be 4pm Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Floyd Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Camp Branch Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service at funeral home, and other times at the home of her son, 3230 Carmon Shortcut Road, Olanta, S.C. 29114.
