Cecil Chessley Langston, II. Manning - Cecil Chessley Langston, Jr. age 81 of Manning and formerly of Elim, died January 2, 2016 at his home after an illness. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday at Floyd Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Elim Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 PM Monday at Floyd Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Born in Florence County, he was a son of the late Cecil Chessley Langston, Sr. and Ida Mae Davidson Langston. He was a retired Electronics Technician, a member of the Woodmen of The World, a member of Elim Baptist Church and attended Santee Baptist Church, and was a magician. He was preceded in death by a son, Cecil Chessley Langston, III. Surviving are his wife, Letida Strickland Langston of Manning, two daughters, Miranda (Bill) Adams of Summerton and Myra (Jim) Jenkins of Sumter. A grandson that he raised, Kensey Langston of Manning, a brother, Guy Alton (Ann) Langston of Union, SC. 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
