Cecile McAllister Beard Lake City Cecile McAllister Beard, age 83, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019 after an illness. Funeral services will be held at 4 pm Saturday, April 6th, 2019, at Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church, with burial in the church cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM prior to the service at Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church. Born in Florence County, she was the daughter of the late John William Dallas McAllister and Hazel Powell McAllister. Cecile formerly employed by Wentworth Industries and Avon Dale Manufacturing Co. She was a member of Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church, Women's Ministries, Women's Adult Sunday School Class, and the church choir. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Harvey Beard; three brothers; Keith Powell, Tommy McAllister, and Billy McAllister. Surviving are two sons; James Avery (Cindy) Beard of Florence, Harvey Andrew (Kristy) Beard of Lake City; five grandchildren; Abbie and Andee Beard, Jordan (Cody) Clemmons, Shawn (Rudy) Hendrix, Reid Dewitt; five great-grandchildren, Devin and Maggie Clemmons, Elena Dewitt, and Connor and Emma Kate Hendrix. The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice, Brooke Creel and Sheila Nelson, as well as caregivers Ann Matthews, Sharon DeWaine, Edith Mims, and Alta Faye Welch for their excellent care and support.
