Charlie Edward Floyd Turbeville Charlie Edward Floyd age 72, died May 15, 2010 at Clarendon Memorial Hospital after an illness. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday May 18, 2010 at FLOYD FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL in Olanta with burial in Olanta Church Of God Of Prophecy Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 - 8 PM tonight at the funeral home. Born in Florence County, he was a son of the late James Floyd and Celia Dorrell Floyd. He worked most of his life in the dry wall business, and was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ted Floyd, Moscoe Floyd, and Paul Floyd, four sisters, Maybelle Coker, Verlin Floyd, Roberta Wilkes, and Beatrice Odom. Surviving are his wife, Dessie L. Floyd of Turbeville, a daughter, Denise Hill of Turbeville, two sons, Darren Floyd of Turbeville, and Clint (April) Floyd of Lake City. A sister, Lilly Ard of Florence. Two sisters-in-law, Sylvis Floyd of Turbeville and Imogene Floyd of Florence. Two grandchildren, Lizzie and Charlie.
