LAKE CITY/BARRINEAU - Claude O'Neal Lee, a beloved member of the Lake City/Barrineau community, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on Wednesday, July 1, 1942, in Florence County, South Carolina he was a son of the late S. A. "Zeke" Ward and the late Mary Lee Barrineau Ward. O'Neal attended Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church and spent his life profoundly connected to the land as a dedicated farmer.


O'Neal is survived by his two loving daughters, Traci L. Rodgers (Dennis) of Pawleys Island, and Debra Lee Harrell (Richard) of Bluffton. A proud grandfather, he leaves behind three cherished grandchildren: Sydney Harrell Finn (Liam), Owen Rodgers, and Drew Harrell. He also leaves numerous special aunts, uncles, and many wonderful cousins who will fondly remember him.


Preceding O'Neal in death were his parents and other beloved family members who left a lasting impact on his life.


Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside funeral service on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 10:00 am at Thomas Cemetery, 751 Park Avenue, Olanta, SC.


O'Neal's family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his honor to the Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church, located at 3709 St. James Road, Lake City, SC 29560.


O'Neal's life was defined by his unwavering commitment to family, and community. He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, sense of humor, and the love and joy he brought into the lives of those around him.
