Dallas Legrande Kirby

Dallas LeGrande Kirby Scranton Mr. Dallas LeGrande Kirby, age 69, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at his residence. A memorial service will be held at 3pm Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Floyd Funeral Home Chapel in Olanta. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Born in Lake City, he was a son of the late Dallas Durant Kirby and Olive Blanche Morris Kirby. Mr. Kirby retired from the South Carolina Department of Transportation as a surveying engineer. He was a proud and loving Father and Grandfather. With his outgoing personality, he shared his good humor with everyone he met. He is preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Kirby. Surviving are his wife, Margaret Kirby of Scranton; two sons, Sheldon Craig Kirby (Michelle) of Houma, LA and Thomas Christopher Kirby of Washington, DC; four brothers, Nelson Kirby (Beverly) of Lexington, LaRue Kirby (Shelby) of Scranton, Gerald Kirby (Faye) and Sammy Kirby (Elaine), both of Lake City; three grandchildren, Ashlyn Kirby, Grayson Kirby and Makayla Kirby, all of Houma, LA.
