David Johnny Parker David Johnny Parker age 74, died May 29, 2020 at his home after an extended illness. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 2 o'clock PM on Tuesday June 2, 2020 at Old Piney Grove Cemetery near Lake City, with Covid 19 precautions observed. Born in Charleston, S.C., he was a son of the late David Parker and Lero Maxine Evans Parker. Mr. Parker was a retired welder, attended Faith Holiness Church, and was an avid fisherman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Ann Parker, a brother, Jimmy Parker, a great-grandson, Noah Michael Brown, and a step-daughter, "Sissy" Karen Phillips. He is survived by two daughters, Maxine (Ray) Baker of Olanta and Mellie (Michael) Brown of Summerville, a son, Travis (Sonya) Parker of Lake City, step-daughters, Paula Phillips and Sam Smith (Phillips) of Florence, one step-son, Bill Phillips of Lake City, one brother, Daniel (Linnie Mae) Parker of Lake City, nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Pruitt Hospice and lots of sisters and brothers, not by blood, and friends, for their love and support during his illness.
