Coward Deborah Ham Matthews age 59, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at McLeod Hospice after an illness. A service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 5, 2019, at the chapel, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta, and burial will be at St. James Cemetery in the Barrineau community. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at 10:00 AM. Born in Clarendon County she was a daughter of the late John Elsivan Ham and Jackie Duke Ham Miles. Deborah graduated Florence Darlington tech, was advisor of County Planning for Florence County, and a charter member of "The Puddin Swamp Singers". She attended Coward Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Johnnie Lynn Ham, and Kaye Yarborough. She is survived by her Father, John L. Dinky Miles; two sons, Jonathan Heyward (Tonya) Matthews of Scranton, Kyle Foster (Tiffany) Matthews of Florence; one sister, Sharon (Russell) Purvis of Manning; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild whom she loved dearly and cherished spending time with them.
