. Dessie L. Floyd Turbeville Mrs. Dessie L. Floyd, age 70, passed away Friday, February 24, 2017 at her home after an illness. A funeral service will be held 3pm Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Floyd Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Olanta Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery. The family will greet friends tonight (Saturday) from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Born in Williamsburg County, she was a daughter of the late Eli McKenzie and Betsy Floyd McKenzie. She attended the Olanta Church of God of Prophecy. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Floyd; a son, Clint Floyd; two sisters, Lois May "Sis" Thigpen, and Seron Parker; three brothers, Burlon McKenzie, Reynolds McKenzie, and Rezell McKenzie. Surviving are a daughter, Denise F. Hill of Turbeville. A son, Darren Floyd of Turbeville. A sister, Connie Bush of Hopkins. A brother, Delbert McKenzie of Nevada. Two grandchildren.
