Doris G. Powell Turbeville Ms. Doris G. Powell, age 91, died Thursday, November 24, 2011 at The Heritage Home of Florence after an illness. Graveside services will be 2:30pm, Sunday, November 27, 2011 at the Turbeville First Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. The family will receive friends at 3402 Clarence Coker Highway in Turbeville, and after the service. Born in Turbeville, she was a daughter of the late Robert Sidney Green and Ressie Coker Green. Ms. Powell was a member of Turbeville First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, James W. Powell, III. A sister, Mae G. Turbeville. A brother, Ryan Sidney Green. Surviving is her daughter, Jean P. (Jack) Boykin of Turbeville. Three sisters, Margaret Lee of Manning, Miriam McFadden of Sardinia, Eleanor Smith of Turbeville. Four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Turbeville First Baptist Church, 1020 Morris Street, Turbeville, S.C. 29162.
