TIMMONSVILLE – Doris Carmon Tedder, age 89, widow of Major Hinton Tedder, Sr., entered her eternal rest on Monday, November 21, 2022 at her home. Born June 30, 1933, in Florence County she was the daughter of the late Jehu Perstell Carmon and the late Liza Lee Carmon. She was the cafeteria manager of South Florence High School, a member of Bethany Free Will Baptist Church, the Ladies Sunday School Class, the Granger Ladies Circle, and for many years she headed up the Senior Citizens program of the church. She is survived by three sons, Jimmy Tedder, Hinton Tedder (Elaine), and Dan Tedder (Jeanne) all of Timmonsville; five grandchildren, Crystal Welch (Patrick), Beth Leroux, Caroline Robinson, Dana Tedder, and Fallen Tedder; six great-grandchildren, Dakota Leroux, Chloe Welch, Piper Welch, Briana Hewitt, Ayden Robinson and AddyLynn Stiles, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one son, Andy Tedder. A funeral service will be held 3pm on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, in the sanctuary of the Bethany Free Will Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 2 – 3 P.M. at the church on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 and at other times at the residence 4154 Hall Road, Timmonsville.
