Dorothy Coward

Scranton Dorothy C. Coward age 83, passed away Friday, December 22, 2017 in a Florence hospital after an illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 O'clock PM Sunday, December 24, 2017 at Unity Christian Fellowship with burial in Hicks Hill Cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. The family will receive friends tonight (Saturday, December 23) from 6 - 8 PM at Unity Christian Fellowship. Mrs. Coward was born in Florence County, a daughter of the late Eugene Lynch and Essie Wilkes Lynch. She was a homemaker, and was a member of Unity Christian Fellowship, the Women's Ministry, and the Church Choir. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Ander Coward; a sister, Leona Lynch; two brothers, Allen Lynch and Leroy Lynch; a granddaughter, Stephanie Goins. Surviving are a daughter, Wanda Lambert (John M.) of Effingham; a son, Gerald (Connie) Coward of Scranton; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren.
