Dotsey M. Gaskins Lake City Mrs. Dotsey M. Gaskins, age 78, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 5, 2011. Funeral services will be 11am, Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Floyd Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Lake City Memorial Park, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Visitation will be 6-8pm, Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at the funeral home. Born in Lake City, she was a daughter of the late Tilman Miles and Maebelle Welch Miles. Mrs. Gaskins was a devoted member of Central Holiness Church where she served as the Treasurer of the Ladies Ministry. She is preceded in death by her husband, John William Gaskins. A sister, Elsie Miles Lyman. A brother, M.C. Miles. Two brother-in-laws, Pedro Lee and Doris Floyd. Surviving are three daughters, Sandy (Bill) Copeland of North Myrtle Beach, Sherry (Sherwood) Pendergraft of Lake City and Linda (Bryan) Morris of Surfside. A son, Don (Sandra) Gaskins of Hartsville. Two sisters, Nancy Lee and Thelma Floyd both of Lake City. Four brothers, Roger (Bertie Mae) Miles and Legrand (Rosemary) Miles both of Florence, Alex (Karen) Miles of Walhalla, S.C. and Jay (Lou) Miles of Lake City. A sister-in-law, Peggy Miles of Florence. Two brother-in-laws, Frank Lyman and Troy Gaskins both of Lake City. Five grandchildren, Misty Pendergraft (Brian) Casselman of Murrells Inlet, Kim Pendergraft (Matt) Williams of Pawley's Island, Allison Gaskins of Hartsville, Will Copeland of North Myrtle Beach and Lindsy Morris of Surfside. Three great grandchildren, Campbell and Sarah Grace Williams of Pawley's Island and Blakely Casselman of Murrells Inlet. She had many special nieces and nephews.
