OLANTA – Dr. John Woodrow Holt, Jr., 81 died Saturday, June 19, 2021, at MUSC Florence. Born November 7, 1939 in Pensacola, FL, he was a son of the late John Woodrow Holt, Sr. and the late Willa Rhea Jordan Holt. He retired as a dentist after 42 years in practice. He was a member of Nazareth United Methodist Church and was a US Army Veteran having served at Ft. Jackson, Columbia, SC. He is survived by two sons, Jack Holt (Carole Ann) and Scott Holt both of Pamplico; and a daughter, Lynn Holt of Columbia. A private graveside service will be held 11am on Monday, June 19, 2021, in the Thomas Cemetery with Rev. Mel Thompson officiating. The family request that memorials be made to Nazareth United Methodist Church, 221 Park Avenue, Olanta, SC 29114.
