Eddie Floyd

Effingham Mr. Eddie M. Floyd, age 65, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Carolinas Hospital Systems, after an illness. Funeral services will be held 11am Saturday, October 28th at Unity Christian Fellowship with burial in church cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Born in Williamsburg County, he was a son of the late William Watson Floyd and Kizzie Welch Floyd. He was preceded in death by his parents; six sisters, Bula Mae Haseldon, Lena Mae Altman, Claudia Fry, Barbara Pigate, Marion Lee, and Thedus Floyd; four brothers, Garland Floyd, Barny Floyd, Boyce "Shug" Floyd, and Sam Floyd. Surviving are his wife, Norma Floyd of Effigham; two daughters, Susan Dutton of Effingham, and Beth Matthews (Stevie) of Coward; three sons, Will Floyd (Shannon) of Hartsville, Frankie Davis (Morgan) and Adam Floyd (Teri Lyn) both of Effingham; one sister, Deloris Marlow of Johnsonville; three sister-in-laws, Pearl Floyd of Lake City, Dixie Floyd of Olanta, and Jewel Floyd of Scranton; one brother, Edward "Pee Wee" Floyd of Olanta; eight grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
