Edna Turbeville Myers Olanta - Mrs. Edna Turbeville Myers age 102, died December 13, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. Funeral services directed by Floyd Funeral Home, will be held at 2 o'clock PM Wednesday December 16, 2015 at Olanta Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 - 8 PM Tuesday at funeral home. Born in Clarendon County she was a daughter of the late Marion Luther Turbeville and Annie Elizabeth Coker Turbeville. She was a retired Postmaster, a member of the A.P.W.U. Postal Union, a former Southern Methodist before her marriage. She Joined The Olanta Baptist Church in 1944 after her marriage to her late husband, Edward DeLeon Myers. She taught the "Edna Myers" Sunday School Class for 60 Years. She was former president of the WMU, A Circle Chairman, and also led GA's, Acteens, Sunbeams, and the Children's Choir. She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother, Elbert P. Turbeville. She is survived by a daughter, Joretta (David) Ballew of Greer, two sisters, Margaret Martin of Lexington, and Valeria Branham of Columbia. A grandson, Jason Ballew, a granddaughter, Amy Ballew (Brian) Redd. Two great-grandchildren, Hope and Carter.
