NEW ZION – Elenor Louise Boardwine, 73, widow of David Boardwine, entered her eternal rest on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born March 11, 1951 in Clarendon County, she was a daughter of the late Walker Rudolf Coker and the late Arley Nettles Coker. She attended Olive Grove Church and was retired from Francis Marion University working in the Environmental House Services. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, John Boardwine; and four brothers, Marion Rondel Coker, Allen Thomas Coker, Alpha Lemuel Coker and Raymond Walker Coker. She is survived by two daughters, Tammy Lynn Coker of New Zion and Kathy (Rick) Peterson of Chicago; Grandchildren, Tyer R. Epley and Christina Callahan; one sister, Betty Geddings of Turbeville; and one brother, Alton Coker of New Zion. A funeral service will be held 5pm on Sunday, May 26, 2024 in the Chapel of Floyd Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Wayland Owens. Burial to follow in the Gibbons Family Cemetery., 1181 Gibbons Cemetery Road, Turbeville, SC 29162 Pallbearers will be Tracy Coker, Jason Coker, Joel Carver, Tyler Epley, Byan Coker, and Ned Geddings.
