Elizabeth Ann Cole Floyd

OLANTA – Elizabeth Ann Cole Floyd age 90, widow of Kralf Maurice Floyd, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at McLeod Hospice House, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Florence County, she was the daughter of the late Emory Koger Cole and Winnifred Floyd Cole. She was a homemaker and business woman. She loved working in the yard, cooking, sewing, crafts, and special hobbies were playing the piano and accordion. She loved her family and cared for her parents. In her younger years, she worked in the tobacco market in Asheville, NC and was part owner & operator of Cole’s Motel & Restaurant. She was a member of Olanta Baptist Church, taught Sunday School, Sunbeams, & sang in the choir. She graduated from Olanta High School and Carolina College of Commerce and attended Queens College. She is survived by two sons, Emory Craig (Tamra) Floyd of Olanta, and Kralf Dale Floyd of Olanta; one daughter, Michelle (Bobby) Dukes of Olanta; grandchildren, Cole (Brandy) Dukes, Brooke Dukes (Ryan)White, Emily Floyd (Michael) Burns, Emory Craig (Jordan) Floyd, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Azzie Dukes, Noah Dukes, Michael Tate Burns, Emory Callen Burns. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one brother, Emory Floyd Cole. Graveside services will be held at 11 am Friday, October 27, 2023, at Thomas Cemetery (700 Park Avenue, Olanta, SC) with Reverend Myers Graham officiating.
