Elmar Ray Tucker, Sr. New Zion Elmar Ray Tucker, Sr. age 67, died Saturday, September 10, 2011 at his residence after an illness. A service will be held at 3pm Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Floyd Funeral Home Chapel and directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Visitation will be held from 6- 9 at the home, 6813 Salem Road, New Zion on September 12, 2011. Born in Chesterfield County he was the son of the late William Jasper Tucker and Nora Mae Horn Tucker. Mr. Ray was retired from the construction business where he operated heavy equipment. He is preceded in death by his wife, Latrell McKenzie Tucker. Three sons, Deforest Wade Tucker, Jeffery Chad Tucker and Charles Brad Tucker. Two brothers, Bobby Tucker and Bill "Jack" Tucker. One sister, Nellie Tucker Davis. One grandson, Braylon Avery Tucker. He is survived by one daughter, Sherrie (Bobby) Culick of Turbeville. Three sons, Sam (Ashley) Tucker of New Zion, Jason (Amber) Tucker of Olanta, Elmar Ray Tucker, Jr. of Bennetsville. Two sisters, Glennie Tucker McKenzie and Robin Tucker Alexander both of Olanta. Two brothers, Dewayne Tucker of Greenville and David Hopkins of Columbia. Seven Grandchildren and three special sons, Ronnie Flowers of New Zion, David Buddin of Florence and Joel Gibbons of Austin, Texas.
