Ernest George Floyd Olanta Ernest George Floyd age 62, died April 24, 2014 at McLeod Hospice House in Florence after an illness. Services will be held at 3 pm Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Floyd Funeral Home Chapel in Olanta, with burial in Olanta Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 1 pm at the funeral home. Born in Florence County he was a son of the late Alvin Floyd and Buena Clements Floyd. He was self employed as a truck driver. He was preceded in death by an infant son; and a sister, Linda Welch. He is survived by his wife, Judy Holloman Floyd of the home; two daughters, Molly Skipper and Shannon Miles both of Florence; two sons, Thad Floyd of Turbeville, Johnny Floyd of Olanta; three sisters, Mary Sue Williams of Lake City, Ann McClam of Scranton, Faye Floyd of Lake; three brothers, Kelly Floyd of Lynchburg, Terry Floyd of Scranton, Roger Floyd of Olanta; fourteen grandchildren.
