Eva Ruth Mckenzie

Eva Ruth McKenzie Mrs. Eva Ruth Feagin McKenzie age 80, died September 15, 2013 at her home after an illness. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM Tuesday at Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial in New Town F.W. B. Church Cemetery directed by Floyd Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 PM Monday at Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church. Born in Florence County, she was a daughter of the late Marion H. Feagin and Lettie Jordan Feagin. She was a graduate of Lake City High School, worked at Wentworth Mfg. Co., in the finishing department, she was a substitute teacher and assistant Librarian at East Clarendon High School, she attended Central Holiness Church, and was a good mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, C. R. McKenzie, five brothers, Monroe Feagin, Heyward Feagin, Corbitt (Leona Altman) Feagin, Harry Feagin, and Pearline Feagin, one sister, Dorothy Lamb. She is survived by one daughter, Brenda (Rev. Laverne) Parker of Lake City, two sons, Rodney (Angela) McKenzie of Hemingway, and Dale (Angie S.) McKenzie of Lake City. Six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and a sister-in-law, Doris Floyd Feagin of Macon, Ga. Memorials may be made to Central Holiness Church c/o Pearcy Floyd , 4960 Old Manning Rd.
