Eva Dell Sims Olanta - Eva Dell Sims age 81, died March 16, 2018 at her home after an illness. Funeral services will be held at 4 o'clock PM Sunday March 18, 2018 at Floyd Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Bethany Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 PM until 4 PM prior to the service. Born in Florence County, she was a daughter of the late Lewis Zinaman Tarte and Marian Lenora Floyd Tarte. She was a wonderful mother, exceptional grandmother, a seamstress, and a member of Bethany Free Will Baptist Church, where she was very active with the Senior Citizens. Quiet and sweet in spirit, she was loved by all that knew her. Always selfless, she cared for all and was a devoted servant of the Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband, George V. Sims, daughter, Cynthia Dell Sims, and a son-in-law, Russell Evans. Surviving are daughters, Lenora Evans and Tracy Sims both of Lynchburg, Dell (Mark) Muller of Turbeville, and Amy (Paul) Knowlton of Turbeville, sons, Timmy Sims of Olanta and Wade (Sherri) Sims of Gable, a sister Janice (Jesse) McLeod of Sumter. 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
