Fannie R. Welch Turbeville Mrs. Fannie R. Welch, age 71, died Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Clarendon Memorial Hospital after an illness. A funeral service will be 11am Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Floyd Funeral Home Chapel with burial in New Hope Christian Church Cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. The family will receive friends tonight (Friday) from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Born in Florence County, she was a daughter of the late Bud Lee and Janie Collins Lee. Mrs. Welch was a retired seamstress and caretaker, and was a member of New Hope Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Coker Welch. Surviving are three sons, Andy Welch, Eugene (Luanne) Welch and Hank Welch all of Turbeville. Two sisters, Dessie Mae Bellflower of Lake City and Betty Jo Nettles of Scranton. A brother, James (Annelle) Lee of Florence. Two granchildren, Taylor Welch and Gina Welch. Two step-grandchildren, Dwayne Pate and Amanda McGee.
