Felicia Phillips Rutter

Felicia C. Phillips Rutter Lynchburg - Mrs. Felicia C. Phillips Rutter age 88, died January 4, 2018 at her home after an illness. Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock PM Sunday January 7, 2018 at Turbeville Southern Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery directed by Floyd Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2 o'clock PM Sunday until the time of the service. Born in Sumter County, she was a daughter of the late Ellison Lafayette Evans and Hattie Hodge Evans. Mrs. Rutter was a homemaker and was a member of Turbeville Southern Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ernest Eugene Phillips, Sr., two sisters, Garnet Mims and Nona Reeves, three brothers, E. L. Evans, Jr., R. E. Evans, and M. L. Evans. Surviving are her husband, James C. Rutter of Lynchburg, two daughters, Juliet Phillips Lamance of Columbia, and Vicki Phillips (Kin) McKenzie of Murrells Inlet, a son, Eugene (Cindy) Phillips, Jr. of Summerton, two step-daughters, Sherrie Rutter (Jerry) Van Hooser of Indiana, and Sheila Rutter (Harry) Varn of Winnsboro. Eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend a "Thank You" to Comfort Keepers, Amedysis Hospice, and Angelcare, for all of the special care that they gave to Mrs. Rutter.
