Frances Green Coker Turbeville Frances Elizabeth Green Coker age 96, passed away Sunday January 4, 2015 at a nursing facility in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. A service will be held at 3pm Wednesday January 7, 2015 at Pine Grove United Methodist Church directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Visitation will be held at 1pm just prior to the service at the church. Born in Sumter County she was a daughter of the late William Wherry Green and Meta Elizabeth Keels Green. She was a 1939 graduate of Columbia College, a school teacher early in her marriage, a member of the Pine Grove United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School for 60 years, and served as treasurer. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Gerald Ray Coker, Sr.; a grandson, Cason Matthew Reid; a twin brother, LeRoy Green; four sisters, Neva Goodman, Eileen Cason, Queenie Green, Lauris Floyd, and Mattie Reid Suber. She is survived by four daughters, Mary Ham (James), and Helen Reid, both of Charleston, Peggy Greene of Sullivans Island, Cindy Coker (Sherman) of Winnipeg, Canada: one son, Gerald Ray Coker, Jr of Greenville: one sister, Eloise Riel of Sumter, ten grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
