Frank Daniel "Wahoo" Chavis Sr.

Timmonsville Frank Daniel "Wahoo" Chavis, Sr. age 75, passed away June 6, 2019 at McLeod Regional Medical Center after an illness. A service will be held at 2:30 Sunday, June 9, 2019 at Unity Christian Fellowship Church, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Born in Orangeburg County he was the son of the late Victor Chavis and Navy Lou Williams Chavis. He was a Florence County Youth Baseball Umpire, and a member of Unity Christian Fellowship Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Russell "Scotty" Chavis. He is survived by one daughter, Rebecca (Mark) Hagood of Sweetwater, Texas; four sons, Danny (Melissa) Chavis of Timmonsville, Brandon "Bo" (Sherquita) Chavis of Florence, Victor (Joyce) Chavis of Red Springs, NC, and Jamey Chavis of Florence; one sister, Lou Ella Warren of Batesburg; nine grandchildren, Christopher, Ashlie, Megan, Lindsey, Whitney, Thomas, Zamora, Brooklynn and Ayden.
