Franklin Lyman Lake City Mr. Franklin Dean Lyman age 80, passed away Monday December 21, 2015 at McLeod Regional Medical Center after an illness. A funeral service will be held at 11AM Tuesday, December 29, 2015 in the Chapel of Floyd Funeral Home in Olanta, with burial in Floyd's Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held 12 noon on Sunday December 27, 2015 at the home, 819 Moulds Road, Lake City. Born in Harden County, Iowa he was a son of the late Franklin Lyman and Bessie Stewart Lyman. He served two years in the United States Army, and was a former Lake City Police Chief. He is preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Jane Miles Lyman. He is survived by a son, Frank Laverne Lyman and (Leah M. McCartt) of Lake City; two grandchildren, Courtney Elizabeth Lyman, Lindsey Claire Lyman.
