Franklin Powell Turbeville - Franklin Levon "Bubby" Powell age 66 , died November 10, 2018 after an illness. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday at Floyd Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Pine Dale Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 - 8 PM Monday evening at Floyd Funeral Home. Born in Williamsburg County, he was a son of the late Luther Franklin Powell and Olivi Smith Powell. He was a retired underground boring technician and was a mechanic. He was preceded in death by a brother, Wiggie Smith and two sisters, Joyce Ann Parker and Azalea Wilkes. Surviving are his wife, Vela Mae Welch Powell of Turbeville, daughters, Bridget Banovetz (Kyle) of Florence, Janie Floyd (Daniel) of Johnsonville, Amanda Powell of Georgetown, and Patricia Barrineau (Derrick) of Turbeville, a son, Donald Sims, Jr. (Mandy) of Scranton, sisters, Alleyne (Pete) Wilkes of Scranton, Nell (Richard) Parker and Martha (Terry) Morris both of Lake City, Mae Avins and Missy Player both of Sumter, and Valorie (Rick) Bramlett of Manning, 12 grand-children.
