Lake City - Mr. Fred L. Coker, age 75, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2015 at his home after an illness. Graveside services will be 11am today (Saturday), September 19, 2015 at Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. The family will greet friends in the church fellowship hall immediately following the graveside service. Born in Clarendon County, he was a son of the late Douglas D. Coker and Mollie J. McKenzie Coker. He was a 1958 Graduate of East Clarendon High School, a Farmer, and a member of Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church, where he served as the former Sunday school teacher of the Young Men's Class, Deacon, and assistant Sunday school Superintendent of the church. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Leslie D. Coker, a sister, Alice Faye Ward, two brothers, Mack M. Coker and Douglas D. Coker, Jr. Surviving are his wife, Frances McElveen Coker of the home. A daughter, LaCrese McElveen of Lake City. A son, Landon (Bonnie) Coker of Lake City. Three sisters, Thessie Floyd, Winnie Goins, and Diane (David) Munn all of Lake City.
