Fredalea F. Sams Olanta Fredalea Floyd Sams age 84, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Scranton Nursing Facility after an illness. A graveside service will be held at 12 noon October 28, 2014 at Thomas Cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home at 11am October 28, 2014. Born in Florence County she was a daughter of the late Fred B. Floyd and Marcelle Sims Floyd. She was a retired secretary at The Department of Motor Vehicles in Columbia, a member of the Eastern Star of Florence and a member of Olanta Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie "Jack" Sams, Jr.. She is survived by one daughter, Julie Ann Sims of Olanta; two sons, Charlie Sams, III (Karen) of Goose Creek, Fred Harrison Sams (Daria) of Cottageville; one sister Geneva Gibbons (Dr. J. H.) of Columbia; one brother, Donald B. Floyd (Pansy) of Lexington; five grandchildren, Amanda Lea Sams, Charlie Sams, IV, Jillianne Paige Dobbler, Danielle Sams, Matthew Sams; three great-grandchildren, Chasity Lea Barthel, Chandler Micheal Sams, and Kodoa Brea Diamond.
