George Buck Lee

EFFINGHAM – George Buck Lee, 83, husband of the late Carolyn Hall Lee, entered his eternal rest on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Regency Hospital in Florence. Born, May 19, 1939 in Florence, he was a son of the late Wylie Cleveland Lee and the late Mattie Mae Lynch Lee. He attended Unity Christian Fellowship Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a retired heavy equipment mechanic. He loved to go to Powell's in Coward each morning for breakfast. He is survived by one brother, W. C. Lee of Scranton; two sisters, Nettie Bell Coker and Gertrude Floyd both of Scranton; good friends, Steve and Dara Drummond, Terry Lee, Petra Lee Christal Payne, and Shirley Page. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one son, Allen Lee; one granddaughter, Kaitlyn Lee; four brothers, Woodrow Lee, Leo Lee, Lamar Lee, Eulas Lee; and three sisters, Iva Mae Lee, Magdalene Lee, and Hazel Baxley. A funeral service will be held 3pm on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at Unity Christian Fellowship Church with Rev. Lloyd Ackerman officiating. Burial will follow in Bethany Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 2 – 3 pm on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at Unity Christian Fellowship Church. Pallbearers will be Steve Drummond, Walker Drummond, Cole Drummond, Terry Lee, Derrick Coker, Cohen Coker, Baylee Coker, and Barry Floyd The family request that memorials be made to Unity Christian Fellowship Church, 3652 Olanta Highway, Timmonsville, SC 29161.
