NEW ZION – Anna Gertrude Graham Gardner, 102, widow of John Graham Gardner passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022, at her home. Born September 9, 1920, in Clarendon County, she was a daughter of the late Wesley Snyder Graham and the late Ada Childers Graham. She was a member of the New Zion United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the United Methodist Women, The New Zion Ladies Growth Group of the church. She was a Charter member of the Black River American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by one son, John (Sally) Gardner of Georgetown; one daughter, Lois Geddings of Turbeville; six grandchildren, Joey (Vickie) Lavender, Linda (Mike) Harrington, Katherine Grainger, Allyson Gardner, Cari (Bobby) Schultz and Graham (Kim) Gardner; nine great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Olive Weeks of West Palm Beach FL, and Joanne Poe of Camden. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at New Zion United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the New Zion Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service in the fellowship hall, and other times at the home of Mrs. Gertrude, 6933 Salem Road, New Zion, SC. Pallbearers will be Joseph Lavender, Jr., Mike Harrington, Michael Harrington, Daniel Harrington, Robert Schultz, John Graham Gardner III, John Graham Gardner IV, John Schultz, and Reid Schultz.
