Ginger Burroughs Moore, 71, of Lake City, died Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach. Ginger was born in Lake City to the late Woodrow and Azilee Burroughs on December 29, 1950. She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 50 years, Greg Moore, in July. Ginger graduated from Lake City High School and attended Queens College in Charlotte, N.C. She worked in public relations for General Telephone Cooperative for 15 years and was an Elder and Member of Session for Lake City Presbyterian Church. Ginger was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who never turned down a chance to brag on her family, particularly her grandchildren. She was a friend to animals big and small and spent much of her life caring for various rescued creatures and pets. She was a simple, sweet and proud woman of God, and she was ready to be called home to join her beloved Greg. Ginger is survived by her son, Robert Clyde Moore (Cassidy), of Myrtle Beach; grandchildren Emma Tristen Moore, Max Strader, Carly Moore, Stevens Moore, and Layne Strader, all of Myrtle Beach; sister, Jeronia Young, of Coward; nieces Janet Belew (Tim) and Sherri Moore (Doug); brothers-in-law Stanly Moore (Jane) of Turbeville and Doug Moore (Deborah) of Lake City; and nieces Marianne Moore, Bette Kelly (Mark), and Anna Dawsey (Nate). In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Harry Burroughs. The family will hold a private graveside service at Olanta Presbyterian Cemetery.
