Glynn Worrell Webster, Sr. Lake City Glynn Worrell Webster, Sr. age 74, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, on April 10, 2012 at his home after an illness. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday April 12, 2012 at New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held immediately after the service in the church sanctuary. Born in Florence County, he was a son of the late Paul Whitehead Webster and Emma Worrell Webster. Glynn was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, faithful church worker and a caring and community active person. He loved every inch of his earthly home and was a good steward of all that surrounded him. He was owner and operator of Steel Constructors Inc for over 40 years and was associated with numerous businesses including Vulcraft and Riverside Electric Motors. He served in the National Guard, and was a lifelong member of New Zion Baptist Church where he served on the deacon board as well as other committees. He was preceded in death by a infant sister, Mary Alice Webster, and a brother-in-law Howard F. Godwin. Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Linda Marsh Webster of Lake City, a daughter, Beverly Webster (Rick) Simonet of St. Augustine, Fl, a son, Glynn Worrell (Shannon) Webster, Jr., of Turbeville. Two sisters, Ina Jean Godwin and Patricia (Charles) Godwin both of Lake City. Five grandchildren, Maggie Webster, Hank Simonet, Glynn W. Webster, III, Mason Simonet., and Emma Webster.
