TIMMONSVILLE – Harry Lambert Kirby, 82, widower of Rebecca Kirby, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024, at Heritage Nursing Facility of Florence. Born December 17, 1941, in Florence he was a son of the late George Lambert Kirby and the late Ada Cox Kirby. He was owner and operator of Harry’s Paint & Body Shop. He was a US Army Veteran and a mason, member of Oak Grove Lodge #378. He is survived by one daughter, Ann Perry (Mitch Owens) of Hemingway; grandchildren, Gary Powell, Sr. of Hemingway, Tiffani Taylor of Pawleys Island, Ashely (Zane) Callen of Lynchburg; great grandchildren, Camryn Altman, Gary Powell, Jr., Ella Callen and Emery Callen; brothers, James (Iris) Kirby of Timmonsville, Paul (Criss) Kirby of Effingham; sisters, Jane (Charles) White of Florence and Ann Dorr of Lugoff; a sister-in-law, Marjorie Kirby of Coward; and a special lady friend, Rachel Lee. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a daughter, Mary White; two infant sisters, Christine Kirby and Earnestine Kirby; and brother, Fred Kirby. A graveside funeral service will be held 3PM on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, in the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Wendell Lee officiating and with Masonic Rites.
