Helen DuBose Buddin Turbeville Helen Irene DuBose Buddin, age 80, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016 at a Conway hospital after an extended illness. A church service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, June 25, 2016 at New Zion United Methodist Church, with burial in the church cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. The family will receive friends after the service in the church fellowship hall. Born in Clarendon County, she was a daughter of the late Raleigh Earnest DuBose and Mary Sudie Baird DuBose. Mrs. Helen was employeed at Clarendon School Distrist III and worked in the school cafeteria, and was a member of the New Zion United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Ervin Buddin Sr.; three sisters, Sara DuBose Driggers, Tiney DuBose Brown, Asalee DuBose Welch; three brothers, Raleigh "Leslie" DuBose, Linwood "Ham" DuBose, Joseph DuBose; and one great-grandchild. She is survived by one daughter, Penny (Jim) Tallon of Lynchburg; two sons James Melvin (Beth) Buddin of Olanta, Edward Ervin (Karen) Buddin, Jr. of Murrells Inlet; two sisters, Alice DuBose Welch of Sumter, Ann DuBose Green of Turbeville; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
